Whooly 2 Get Sponsored

Hi all... im glad to announce that my game was sponsored in the beta process, i have already a release candidate. And im very glad for the many sponsor that try to get my game, even when its not finished. I already been asked to make a new version.

Well oour sponsor is GameSpil group, and we are going to distribute the game in 17 differents version, and languages. The game is excepcted to reach over the 5 Millions of views on the first month, and over 10 Millions on the 3 months after enter to the wild.

Like i said, i make a contest for the beta testers, i already have the 3 winners for the contest, that will be announced the same day of the release of the game (10 more days from today)

This game is without a doubt one of my greatest jobs. And i already working on a new adventure. And get 5 mini games for the whooly series, that will be puzzles, and many other improved games to improve the series of whooly.

I hope the game go well after the release, and the sponsor encourage me a lot to make more games.

Beta and Release Candidate

Impressive like it sounds, but i have already 15 differents reports, from the beta tester group. Now im working on the fixes of bugs, and other fixes.

I think we have a RC the next week, or in the weekend, the game looks awesome now, and will be even good in the next couple of days.


The things we need to fix are:

- Dead animation for other enemies
- The final movie for the story
- Final Battle text
- Credits Zone

So we are in a good track, keep the reports coming up and the game will be greater thanks to you, remember that you can get some of the awards for testing the game.

BETA TESTER CONTEST!!!

Have you hear about my new game, well i put a lot of effort in it, but that is not enough i need your opinions, doesnt matter that i think the game is good, i need your suggestion, your ideas, your angry comments about how good or bad is the game, to make it better and improve it.

So for this, like for a last game i will make a beta tester contest, i have no big rewards for this, but i have some freebies and good stuff that myabe you want, and you will be in the credits with the links to your personal site.

Whooly 2 is Coming!!!

Finnaly, after 3 month of work, the game will be have a RC (release candidate) the next 15 of Dec. I already start to looking for some sponsor, i will leave you here some of the screenshots. The game have 20 differtents levels, 3 bosses, 10 differents treasures that give you the possibility to access powerups, lifes, and many other things, even one of the treasure give you a ticket to participate on a contest with some gifts.

Kongregate make people gives Tips to developers

Using now-obsolete United States dollars, Kongregate players can fund their accounts using a credit card or Paypal. Once your account is funded, you can use kreds to tip developers on the site using our shiny new tip jar system. Hey, if you're willing to fork over a few dollars to a waiter for carrying over your omelette, why not show some love for the talented developers who slave over a hot ActionScript stove to bring you some really great games for free?

Yes thats right... now on the user on kongregate can donate "kreds" to the developers. Thats "kreds" can be exchange it to the old and devalued USD ... this is a great feature maybe some user can do this... but...

The kongregate people maybe dont realize that the medium user on kongregate, just say "f$%# bad game, 1/5 , i hate your game, asshole... " and other stuff like that, so im asking to myself:

Lartar: do you think this you get some money from people on kongregate for your games?
Myself: Hell no, with good luck i will receive some nice ratings of 1/5..

So... will be a good idea or not, only the time will say that...

Starryland Reach 2 Millions Views

Impressive... after 46 days on the wild jungle of flash games, Starryland reach the 2 millions of views hosted by 282 differents websites. This, make the trilogy of the similar games of Tamus on Moonyland, Sunnyland and Starryland, get more than 5.8 Millions of views total. This record can almost reach the old Whooly & The Lost Treasures record of 7 millions of views around the world.

The goal for Starryland will be reach 3 Millions of views, for a total of 350 hosts. So still way to go to that place.

And for the new Whooly game, we have hope that reach 10 Millions of views, and over +500 hosts. And also get featured on Kongregate, and Newgrounds, i have faith on that cause with a great artist of www.axolot-studio.com and the new whooly animations, and other, and the sounds, and the game. Well, from now on, im going to show you, every possible upcoming things from the game.... ;)

See now the next enemies and description:

Totem: The bad guy of the caves, is like a big bear but ugly and mind. You can find him on the caves world. He can kill you with his body crushing you, or with his laser beam.

Batty: You cant make a cave world, without some bats, so here is our little and bad friend Batty. He fly over the cave, chasing you.

Spiddy: A nice spider that can kill you in the caves worlds, and in some of the other leves. In the cave is bigger than in the outside.

Snikky: A beatiful snake that will kill you, moves slow.

Crabby: Forest is his homeland, is like a crab but green and with some nice movements.

Friky: The first enemie you will see... its like a spider but faster and bigger. Try to jump over him.

My next game... a nice trailer...

This is a little preview to the upcoming game... i still dont have a tentative title, and the new Whooly, still not fully operational for implement on the new game... but i can use that charachter from other game.... ;)

You can see on the next 2 pictures, the cave world, and the funny forest world.  A little preview for today, i have build for the next game 15 levels for now, 3 differents worlds, and 8 differents enemies. Wit my new platform engine, i can support some 2d and 3d effects. The camera follow the hero now, and a background that change and moves.  Any comment please post it.

Gamejacket Interview

Well guys, for like a while, i been follow the differents adverts companies, and for my the better now is gamejacket.com So here is a Interview with my Frequently Asked Questions, for them.

- When the 0.5 eCPM minimum will end?

We have no date set for the end of this promotion. All adverts qualify – pre-roll adverts and the new GameJacket interstitial API.

- Do you have a distribution program? or is only for the games that get the 100 advance?

Yes, we have a distribution program and it is not limited to the $1000 Advance games, however due to the volume of games submitted we cannot enter all games in to the distribution program and actively encourage all developers to submit their games to any portals that can.

- What happens if your servers crash, our games will be out of line? do you have some backup server in for that issue?

We use some of the top servers available and our down-time is virtually non-existent. We have a very good backup system that is monitored all the time to ensure that if the main servers go down then the back up servers kick in straight away.

- Do you make some referral program in the next months?

Yes, we are working on a referral program. We don't have a timeline for it yet so we can't state an official roll-out date.

- When do you release the Gamejacket Leaderboards?

It will be before Christmas… Santa will be bringing you a HighScore API this year from GameJacket!

- I heard that you will implement some Game contests, is that true?

Yes, we are working out the details for the first GameJacket contest as we speak!
Nothing is set in stone yet so why don't 

-What I'd like to know though is it possible to have a GameJacket/MochiAds mix? (Hibryd question)

At the moment it is, yes… we definitely recommend that if you're using the GameJacket system you can use the Mochi HighScore API (until our version is ready of course).
We'd rather see Flash Game Developers monetize their games with the APIs available to them.

- Will come some features in the next months?

Well, there's the HighScore API and the Competition and the referral system… and some other stuff we can't quite mention just yet… ;)

         Well, like i told you before i dont have the rights for the old whooly animations, so... will have new ones, yes, this was the best thing could happend, now we have in our staff a wonderful artist that take care the whooly animations, and she gives a new touch to our main hero, so will see here step by step the new born of whooly.

Nad new for our games, sadly my old sponsor, let me know he dont want to use his chachter named whooly, the little fox that i use on my games  and its part of the logo of this site, well no problem now, cause i already get some artist and they are creating a similar heroe, and i will keep the name Whooly cause its my right... well... Too bad for the old sponsr, but this things happens on the entertainment industry. I thank the help of minijuegos.com and oberonmedia, for contact me with their artist, thanks. ;)
